There are brown National Trust signs for Attingham on most of the approach routes. The entrance to the park is on the B4380 at Atcham. The B4380 is a turn off the A5 Shrewsbury bypass at the Emstrey Roundabout on the south-east side of Shrewsbury. After leaving the roundabout follow the B4380 south-east. Just after crossing the River Severn, opposite the Mytton and Mermaid, take the second left turn to pass through an archway into the park. Do not take the first left turn after the bridge, signposted Uffington 3 and Haughmond Abbey. An estate road leads to the main parking area in 2km.

From the east on the B4380, turn right at Atcham with the Mytton and Mermaid on the left.

Coming north on the A458 Shrewsbury-Much Wenlock Road, enter the village of Crosshouses, turn right at the roundabout in the village and follow the minor road for 2km. At the T-junction, turn right onto the B4380, cross the River Severn and take the second left after the bridge as described above.

Do not rely on the postcode to guide you to the exact meeting point for a foray. Postcodes in rural areas often cover a large area. The OS grid reference is more precise and unchanging. What3Words is also more precise, and the detailed instructions should also help to pinpoint the location.

Beginners are welcome at all forays.

Please read the Foray Risk Assessment before attending. It is advisable to confirm with the leader that the foray is taking place, as on extremely rare occasions forays have had to be changed at short notice. Please email the Secretary for more details.
